This map shows the number of people per square mile at the county level for all 50 states. The lighter color represents a lesser density and the darker shade represents the highest density. Gray represents surounding countries. The North American Equidistant Conic projection was used for this map. Also a coastal vignette was used with a light cyan background to show the srounding bodies of water. The data used was provided by ESRI and uses information from the 2010 US Census.

Assignment 2 - US Map
This is a map of the United States of America. This was created with the North America Equidistant Conic projection. The colors are grayscale with the states being a darker gray than the surrounding countries which are a lighter gray. A graticule was added to show where Alaska and Hawaii are located in relation to the 48 contigous states.
Assignment 2 - New Mexico
This is a map showing the state of New Mexico with its capital Santa Fe identified with a star. The colors are done in grayscale with New Mexico being a darker gray and the surrounding states a lighter gray. The white area below New Mexico is Mexico.
